Can anyone advise how i can obtain an ip adress to view a camera off-site.?

I've been advised that i need a static ip address and i am having a problem sorting this out.Can anyone advise how i can obtain an ip adress to view a camera off-site.?
You need to contact your internet provider and request a static IP address. They will charge you extra for this.





Alternatively you can register your dynamic IP address at a dynamic DNS website. This will require you to install a small program which communicates your IP address to their server.





Using http://www.no-ip.com/ as an example, your URL will be in the form http://myaccount.no-ip.com/. This will resolve to your dynamic IP address.
