According to the Owner's Manual, the Aspire 1350 has wireless capability, see this link:

You can check for sure by left clicking on the 'My Computer' icon on the desktop and then selecting 'Properties' from the menu that comes up. Then left click on the 'Hardware' Tab and then left click on the 'Device Manager' button. Go down the list of installed drivers till you get to the Network group and left click on the + sign on the Network group - you should see a driver listing for the wired Network Interface connection and also a listing for a wireless connection if you have one. If you see something here that says something about wireless then you have wireless connectivity available in your notebook. However:::::::::::::::::::::::::

In order to use it you must have a Wireless Access Point. I'm assuming your DSL modem has a cat-5 wired connection that connects to your network plug-in point on your laptop. To use wireless you have to have either a router supplied wireless access point (ie: you go buy a compatible wireless router and set up your own wireless access point and then you will be able to access the internet anywhere at your home that is within range of your router's wireless output.) or you hook up to the internet through a hot-spot type access point (like a wireless access point supplied by a local coffee shop or bookstore or such-like place.)How to find my laptop is compatible for wireless connections? the laptop is an acer aspire 1350 please advise?

Google the name and model of your laptop. Usually all the info is available.
