I am 17 and need some advise from others!!?

My doctor had me do an MRI and I got the results today. I have a herniated disk. My back has been killing me for almost three years. I have an appointment on Thursday and I would like some advise.....Thanks!I am 17 and need some advise from others!!?
I have a herniated disk in my lumbars and for the past few months I have been prescribed muscle relaxers/pain relievers (though I don't usually use them) and a TENS unit (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation ).





Mostly I have learned what activities and what positions I put myself in to avoid which has been the best help.





Mine has gotten better so maybe yours will too.





PS The TENS unit and heating pad works better than the pills and does not restrict my activities.I am 17 and need some advise from others!!?
My advice is Be careful and don't become dependent on pain pills. You are very young and should try everything you can to fix/deal with the pain outside of pills.
I know someone with that problem even after the surgery recommended for it his back still hurts. They will give you some medicine to help the pain it might help. Sorry.
Think of this during the pain etc., it will solve all of your problems...

your probably gonna need surgery for it to heal you probably got it from trying to list something too heavy go easy on yourself man your not hercules
